Holy Ghost
As the season progresses from Thankful to Giving, I have thoughts about the Greatest gift and what I am most Thankful for.
Each morning I spend time in the word of God reading and praying. One question I sometimes ask is, "what Lord do you want me to learn today? "
Reading Acts 4 today I was blessed through His Word. The words in Acts 4:13.
"When they saw the boldness of Peter & John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." (KJV)
By the way, Charles Stanley recently did a sermon called, “The Holy Spirit: Our Helper.” It is a great message on the Holy Spirit’s role to comfort, lead, and support us.
Acts 4:13 blessed me because I am just like those guys, unlearned and ignorant. I do not have a degree or letters behind my name. I do however have the greatest Gift, the Holy Ghost living in me as do all believers in Jesus Christ as Lord. These men of the bible experienced a life changing transformation, as have I. This transformation has enabled me as an unschooled, ordinary woman to walk with Jesus and serve His beloved people. Only by the power of His Holy Spirit am I able to serve and through the support of so many.
I am thankful today for. The relationship I have with Jesus, greatest Gift . The blessing of my supportive husband and family. My assistant Sandy Miller, her commitment each and every week to serve along with me on the cold and rainy days as well as the hot and sunny days. The support of friends in areas I so need help with! Middlebury Chapel, the donors, volunteers and prayer support team.
Hope Farm has a vision reaching out as the men of Acts, to serve the homeless, lost and poor. Acts 4:32 " All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had." vs. 34 "there were No Needy persons among them".
As we look to the season of giving, may you and yours be blessed. It is my prayer you enjoy peace and love in the year ahead, through the same Holy Spirit power received in days of old.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Georgann Mirgliotta
