Do things for others who cannot do things for you
— Ravi Zacharias

Monday’s are always unexpected adventures for us. Two volunteer friends and I pass out lunches, supplies, and visit with our friends from the streets of Akron Ohio.

What I love most right now is that the conversations with these true survivalist friends do not reflect what you might think. No talk of the Pres., the Gov. or his mandates, no talk of masks or fear surrounding the virus or the economy.

“I just got maced ! Some guy called me to his car, I thought he was giving me some cash” ! Said a handsome young man. Why ? Cruelty to homeless people it is a daily occurrence to the vulnerable. This young man was happy to see us coming with water to rinse himself off.

TEN puppies were born to King and Honey !! Pit bulls, owned by friends. Everyone wants a puppy of course.

A guy was spotted on Sunday trekking through the tall grass with a dead raccoon in his fist. Quite a sight to behold from what I heard. Raccoons are a huge problem for the homeless. We heard this funny story from a couple who had their peanut butter and jelly stolen. When they spotted the raccoons they removed had removed lid from the PB and had jelly packets in their possession as well. They left behind their signature paw prints on a crumpled paper towel.
