The Heat
I am so thankful for air conditioning today.
However, as I have been serving for several years our friends staying outdoors or in abandoned houses my thoughts turn to them this morning. We are planning to take water, juice and snacks out today in hopes of sharing a small refresh to our friends on this most difficult weather day. I compare today to the winter because the extreme temperatures make us all run to the safety and security of shelter.
The vision of Hope Farm has always been to help our friends live in a safe and secure community. Efforts are being made to help the unsheltered in our cities. However, the population we focus on are those folks struggling to meet all criteria for housing. Somehow this population just seem to fall through the cracks, they give up the fight or they simply just don’t know what to do.
It is truly a joy to have friends who join us in helping the ministry of Hope Farm we are so grateful for the support.
If you see someone daily standing on the corner will you consider giving them a dollar or two or a bottle of water? This simple act of kindness will not only bless them but you will be surprised at how you will feel. Stepping out of our normal comfort zone is challenging yes, and so rewarding.
Have a blessed day ! Stay Cool !
